About Ray Brannon “Ray” Jeffers was born and raised in Person County, North Carolina and continues to live in his home county. Ray attended Person County Schools, Piedmont Community College and North Carolina Agriculture & Technical University. Ray is currently serving as Vice Chairman of the Person County Board of Commissioners. He is in his third term as a commissioner and fifth term on the National Association of Counties Board of Directors. Ray is driven to public service to help ensure Person County is a great place to live and the national issues are addressed at the local level. Ray served as the 97th President of the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners in 2013-14 and continues to serve on the NCACC Board of Directors.
